The Poker Bonus Guide
Given the fierce competition in online poker rooms today, it’s little surprise that there are so many potentially lucrative promotions to take advantage of. The bonuses that are offered by online poker rooms are not always the same as those offered by online casinos to non-poker players. However, online poker rooms do also offer a wide variety of bonuses which I’ve attempted to describe here for you. A poker room may not offer every one of these bonuses but these are the bonuses you can expect to come across when searching for a good online poker room.
Welcome or Sign Up Bonus
Firstly there’s the good old sign up bonus that we’re all familiar with by now as its offered by every online poker room. These tend be a bit smaller, however, than with online casino bonuses. Amounts and wagering requirements will vary between poker rooms.
Reload Bonus
Poker rooms are known to offer reload bonuses more frequently than online casinos. Some offer them only a couple of times a year whilst others offer them to loyal players more regularly like William Hill.
No Deposit Bonus
This is a type of bonus that doesn’t require you to deposit any money at all. The poker room will just add money to your account as an incentive to keep you playing with them.These types of bonuses are less common but more likely to be found in the new online poker rooms since they are trying to entice new players to test out a new poker room.
Bad Beat Bonus
Bad beat bonuses are offered less than other types of poker bonus unfortunately. This is a bonus that is given to a player holding a great poker hand and is on the verge of winning but was in the end beaten by an even better hand in the showdown.
