Il Wong Yoo Wins Asian Poker King Tournament

The final table of the Asian Poker King Championship was not a let down in the end. The table only began with nine even though it was supposed to be a ten-handed final table. Michael Kim couldn’t be present apparently for personal reasons. The first to go was Robert Wong who still won HK$15,600. He was followed by Hong Seung Jae and Charlie Shin. This now left just one non-Korean player at the table leading the tournament director to remind the remaining players that they are required to speak either in English or  Chinese being the local language.  Ultimately it came to down to two Korean players, Il Wong Yoo and Soo Num Kim.  After battling it out for about two hours, Il Wong Yoo took the title and the winnings of HK $284,000. He went into the final table as the chip leader with 434,000 in chips. The guaranteed prize pool of $750,000 was actually surpassed and the final total prize pool came to $870,000.
