7 Card Stud Tips from Cool Hand Poker

setting gambling win and loss limitsThis exciting poker game is second only to Texas Hold’em. It’s packed with classic poker gaming and there are no community cards. 4 of the 7 cards are visible to all players at the table. Let’s take a look.

I’m a big fan of 7-Card Stud poker. This game is ranked highly in the poker world and the goal is to rack up the best 5-card hand possible. I managed to find easy-to-understand rules at Cool Hand Poker. Here’s how best to play the game:

  • Put in an ante. 2 face-down pocket cards will be dealt. A 3rd face-up card is dealt. If you have the lowest face-up card then you need to place a small bring-in bet. In the first betting round you can fold, raise or call.
  • A 4th card called The Turn is dealt to everyone. Now the 2nd betting round begins in earnest. A 5th card – The River – is dealt face-up to everyone. This is followed by another betting round. Then the 6th card is dealt (face-up) to everyone.
  • After another betting round the final card is dealt. And the player with the best 5-card hand wins the showdown and the pot

Cool Hand Poker provides plenty of poker gaming action, tournaments, big pots and a poker school. Enjoy the game :)
